More Records as Boulby Maintains Progress

Results announced today for the first quarter of the year from ICL, the parent company of the Boulby mine, have revealed another record performance from the world’s first and only producer of the ground-breaking mineral polyhalite, marketed as Polyulphate.

Raviv Zoller, President and CEO of ICL, said the group had delivered solid results for the three months of the year, navigating through challenging market conditions which are expected to continue through most of 2023.

The financial results show that ICL Boulby’s Polysulphate sales and profit increased year-on-year with record production of 259,000 metric tons for the quarter.
The figures were welcomed by the mine’s General Manager Malcolm Mewett who said they underlined the increasingly important role that Polysulphate is playing in helping farmers and growers to increase growth and yield across the globe.

He added “Once again have started the year with sustained progress, topping our previous best of near 252,00 tonnes in the last three months of 2022. We have pioneered the development of polyhalite and these latest figures demonstrate what an important role Boulby plays in in ICL’s Growing Solutions business sector.”
